Add Some Fall Flair to your Wedding Invites
Paperia | November 2016
Having a fall wedding and wondering how to incorporate the season in your wedding stationery suite? Simple! It’s all in the details….
FONT
Select a font that suggests withering leaves, burning firewood, or the crispness of the season. Some options to consider: 1) Papyrus, 2) Trattatello, 3) Zapfino.
COLORS
Everyone naturally thinks of the autumnal shades of red, orange, and brown. These are great options, but you can also consider seasonal combinations like jewel tones (think ruby, emerald and sapphire), neutral taupe with a pop of burnt orange or garnet, or monochromatic shades of purple (eggplant, plum, and raisin).
You can apply these palettes to both the color of the cardstock and the color of the print; for example – a chocolate brown cardstock with bright orange print.
TEXTURE
Add some texture to your invitation with an envelope liner, pocketfold, or different types of stock, such as vellum, linen or kraft. Layering always helps to achieve a cohesive, coordinate suite.
