How to Work With Your Wedding Photographer
Paperia | April 2015
Your wedding is one of the most important days of your life and preserving the memories in photograph form is extremely vital to many brides. When choosing your wedding photographer it’s imperative to select someone who makes you feel comfortable and produces high quality work. It’s also important to make sure you and your photographer(s) are on the same page. Here are some steps to take to make sure you end up with all the photographs you want.
Meet with them…
Make sure you meet with your photographer(s) before the big day. Many photographers have engagement shoots included in their wedding packages. This is a great way to have a “trial run” and make sure you not only like their photography style, but that they make you comfortable, are fun to work with, and produce great images.
Make a shot list…
Write out and send them a shot list ahead of time. This should include all shots that must be taken on your wedding day. Include everything, even if it seems small. It doesn’t matter how long or short this list is as long as it has everything you’re expecting.
Show examples…
Show examples of pictures you like so your photographer has an idea of what style you’re interested in and are looking for. You can print them and bring them to a meeting, email them, or even add your photographer on Pinterest and tag them in posts.
Taking these steps should ensure you get your ideal wedding photographs you can cherish for years to come!
